Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport

Perhaps a lot has changed since your first trip through the airport in Fort Lauderdale. In the 1970s, visitors parked their automobiles in the front parking area of the airport building. You'd have to step out onto the tarmac or go up some stairs to get on a jet.

Over the years, the airport has experienced significant growth. The main cause is Fort Lauderdale's expansion. With beautiful beaches, a fascinating waterfront, and a vibrant arts and cultural scene, it is currently a well-liked vacation spot.

Know Before You Go

Its nickname, ‘the Venice of America,’ comes from the fact that you may go through the canals by gondola. Thousands of travellers from around the world use FLL as an international airport. Previously, it was a regional airport that provided service to international airlines like JetBlue, Spirit, and Southwest, but it also serves international airlines such as Air Canada and Emirates.

In Florida, halfway between Fort Lauderdale and Hollywood, is where you'll find the Fort Lauderdale Airport. Fort Lauderdale Beach is 20 minutes away, Hollywood Beach is 20 minutes away, and Miami is 45 minutes away. The following airlines offer frequent flights from Fort Lauderdale: Delta, American Airlines, and United Airlines.
