Boston Logan International Airport

Boston Logan International Airport is one of the most important in America, serving millions of passengers annually. Logan Airport is located in East Boston which is only four miles from the center of Boston. It serves as the hub of Delta Air Lines East Coast and is also the main airport for JetBlue.

Recent renovations to Logan Airport terminals were extensive. There are many shops, restaurants, as well as other amenities to please all travelers.

There are eight airports in Massachusetts that serve charter and commercial flights. Boston Logan International Airport is the busiest of all eight.

The nearest airport to Boston is Boston Airport BOS. Other nearby airports include Worcester (ORH) (42.5 miles), Manchester (MHT) (44.1 miles), Provincetown (PVC) (47.5 miles), and Providence (PVD) (48.1 miles).

Boston Logan International Airport Terminals

The busiest Logan terminal is Terminal C. Terminal E is only for international flights and offers US Customs and Immigration Services. Safety is paramount.

Boston Logan International Airport Parking

If you're flying to Boston Logan International Airport, you must know where your car can be parked. These are great options to park at the airport, or elsewhere.

Optional on-site parking

Two parking areas are available at Logan Airport. The central parking garage can be used for business or personal use. All terminals can be accessed from the central parking garage. Shuttle service is not offered. You can park in Terminal B's Garage or the smaller lot directly next to Terminal E. Daily rates for parking in the central garage start at $38 per hour.

Massport offers airport parking in the economy parking area. The Boston airport offers economy parking for $29 per day. Every 15-20 minutes, a shuttle service is provided. The economy parking facility is located at the intersection with Prescott Street, Service Road. It has more than 2,700 spaces. Solo travelers are not advised to use this option.

Park Shuttle & Fly offers a shuttle service to Boston Logan International Airport that takes just ten minutes. This is the best airport parking option. Daily parking rates start from $29. Park Shuttle & Fly is a long-term parking option for Boston Logan International Airport. This is a better deal than Logan's terminal parking which charges a weekly fee.

How Do I Get to Boston Logan Airport?

There are many ways to get from Logan Airport to your destination. It all depends on what you prefer. There are three options: drive or use public transport, bus, limousine, or bus.

You can travel to 26 either from the east or the west by taking the Massachusetts Turnpike I-90 East, also known as ‘Mass Pike’, to the exit. Follow signs to Boston Logan International Airport by taking Route I-93 South, leaving northern points. Take exit 24B.

You can also use Boston's public transportation system via the MBTA Blue Line Subway and Silver Line Bus, both located in Downtown Boston. The MBTA Commuter Boat leaves from Hull, which is just south of the city.

Logan Express is an excellent option for people who live and work outside of the city. There are bus terminals at Braintree Framingham Woburn and Woburn.

You can park for $7 per day and the buses will take you to any Logan Airport terminal. It takes approximately 30-45 minutes to travel. Allow extra time for traffic jams in transit.

If you live further south or north, it might be worth looking into other options for bus transport. Many people love Portsmouth's C&J Bus service. Here you can also find bus and limo services.

Transfers from Boston Logan International Airport

The Silver Line runs from Logan Airport to South Station. This is a free public transit option. South Station is the main point from which to explore the city.

You can also use Amtrak, Bus and Commuter Rail. To connect to State Street Station on Orange Line, you can also use the Blue Line. This is the best way to explore Boston including Back Bay, Fenway Park and Boston University.

Logan Airport Facilities and Amenities

Logan Airport offers much more than the standard airport amenities such as free Wi-Fi. You might be interested in these other amenities.

Children traveling with their parents can use several play areas at the airport. You can also find art exhibits and a Spa. These are very helpful during lengthy layovers and delays.

The 9/11 Memorial at Boston Logan International Airport serves as a memorial for the victims of September 11, 2001. This memorial is open to the public at all times, even though it is closed during business hours.

Boston International Airport passengers and staff can also visit the chapel, Our Lady of the Airways. This chapel is non-denominational and allows for reflection and prayer.

Once you've landed, all rental car companies can be found at the Rental Car Centre. As you exit the terminal, be sure to look out for signs. You will also see signs advertising ride-sharing and taxis.
