Officially named as ‘Compania Panmena de Aviacion, S.A.’, Copa Airlines is the national airline of Panama. The major flying hub is Panama City Tocumen International Airport, which is where the headquarters are located. The airline flies to 31 countries everyday on more than 300 flights. 

Star Alliance has included Copa as a member since 1998. When it was first established in 1947, Copa flew to both domestic and international locations, but as of right now, it only operates on one domestic route and only travels internationally. Cabin Classes offered by Copa Airlines

Copa Airlines has both Business and Economy classes.

Economy Class: Passengers can enjoy economy seats on all Copa carriers. While older Boeing 737-800s offer entertainment on flip-down screens above the seats, the economy seats on brand-new 737-800s have an adjustable headrest and a personal AVOD with a 5-inch (13 cm) touch screen. 

Also, every Boeing 737 is fitted with a radio antenna that enables passengers to choose from twelve stations of music to listen to a variety of songs and instrumentals. On domestic, short-haul, and certain medium-haul international flights, food and refreshments are offered. On all other international medium- and long-haul flights, full meals are provided at no additional cost. On all flights, alcoholic beverages are free for passengers in economy.

Moreover, the main cabin has 24 Economy Extra seats, with extra space, added entertainment options, and additional comfort. Also, the Main Cabin has USB ports at each seat and larger overhead bins.

Business Class: Passengers can enjoy business seats on all Copa carriers. In addition to priority boarding and luggage handling, access to the Copa/United Club and other airline lounges, and bonus miles for the Copa ConnectMiles programme, business class passengers check in at separate counters. 

On all international flights, in-flight amenities include multi-course meals, pre-departure refreshments, pillows, and blankets, depending on the trip type and duration. On their 737MAX fleet, Business Class also has lie-flat beds or reclinable leather seats with footrests and adjustable headrests. It also has a large tray table, a USB port, a 120V power outlet, and a personal Audio-Video-On-Demand (AVOD) screen.

The 737 MAX-9 of Copa Airlines has a unique configuration. The Boeing 737 MAX-9 aircraft used by Copa Airlines feature unique features that are intended to increase passenger comfort and convenience. One such feature is the exclusive Dreams Business Class, which has 16 flat beds and cutting-edge 16-inch touch displays.

Copa Airlines in-flight services

Every month, audio and video in-flight entertainment as well as in-flight publications are updated. At times designated by the flight crew, passengers may also use personal electronics such as computers, portable gaming consoles, and tablets.

Seating: There are two seating classes offered by Copa Airlines: business class and economy class. When checking in, passengers have the option of selecting their seats. Each Boeing 737-700 operated by Copa Airlines has 124 seats. The Embraer 190s contain 94 passengers each, while every Boeing 737-800 has 160 seats.

Meals: Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, small snacks, and delectable meals are all available on Copa Airlines. During the flight, passengers are allowed to bring their own food and non-alcoholic beverages to enjoy.

Copa Airlines baggage allowance

One-piece carry-on luggage must weigh no more than 10 kg and not exceed 115 cm in height, depth, and width. 1 piece of checked baggage must be under 23 kg and 160 cm in height, depth, and width. Two checked bags and one carry-on bag are allowed for economy passengers. Executive class customers are permitted two checked bags, each weighing 32 kg, and one piece of carry-on luggage. Copa Airlines check-in

Check-in for executive class passengers should occur at least one hour before departure. To finish immigration and security checks, it is advised for economy passengers to check in three hours ahead to departure. To easily check-in online, you can talk to one of our travel experts.
