Aeromexico is the national airline of Mexico, which is operated by Aerovas de Mexico, S.A. de C.V., also known as 'Airways of Mexico, Public Limited', with headquarters in Mexico City. The airline services more than 90 destinations throughout Mexico, North, South, and Central America, the Caribbean, Europe, and Asia.

With additional hubs in Guadalajara and Monterrey, Mexico City serves as the organization's principal base and hub. Formerly located in a separate building overlooking the Diana the Huntress Fountain on Paseo de la Reforma, the headquarters are now located in the Torre MAPFRE tower across from the Mexican Stock Exchange. The old building was demolished and replaced with a much taller, more modern tower in 2017.

Destinations

Aeromexico entered new foreign markets in an effort to expand its global footprint, develop its network, and facilitate and increase the frequency of connections. It began running services from Mexico City through Tijuana to Tokyo in 2006. Service from Mexico City to Shanghai via Tijuana started in May 2008. Panama City, Santo Domingo, Vancouver, Toronto, Boston, Medellin, Amsterdam, Cozumel and Austin were among the new locations in 2015–2016. On July 1st, 2017, the airline began offering flights from Mexico City to Seoul, with only one outward stop in Monterrey.

In the first year of the Delta-Aeromexico joint venture from June 2017-June 2018, the companies worked to enhance connectivity between Mexico and the U.S., and launched new Aeromexico or Delta flights, or additional frequencies, on Los Angeles-Cabo San Lucas; New York JFK-Cancun; Detroit-Leon; Atlanta-Merida; Seattle-Mexico City; Atlanta-Queretaro; Atlanta-Leon; Portland-Mexico City; Los Angeles-Leon; Atlanta-Guadalajara; and Guadalajara-Salt Lake City. 

Classes of Travel Aeromexico Offers

Clase Premier: On both domestic and international flights, Clase Premier seat categories are offered by Aeromexico without distinction. Going future, you could see Clase Premier Lite on select flights within Mexico. The advantages of Lite are the same; it's likely that there isn't a premium class cabin on your flight. On a 737-800, you can find yourself in a 3-3 arrangement with the middle seats blocked off on both sides in the manner of an economy seat.

Aeromexico Baggage Rules

Carry-on baggage: Your ticket includes one personal item and one carry-on bag. On flights inside Mexico, they must weigh no more than 15 kg (33 lbs) for Classic, AM Plus, and Clase Premier prices and no more than 10 kg (22 lbs) for Basic Fare. At all prices, the maximum weight permitted on international flights is 10 kg (22 lb.)

Wheeled or wheelless bags with dimensions not exceeding 55 cm x 40 cm x 25 cm. (21.5 x 15.7 x 10 inches) are allowed as carry-on baggage.

Briefcases, purses, computers, umbrellas, fanny packs, etc., are all classified as personal items, and should be able to fit beneath the cabin seats.

Check-in baggage: Depending on the ticket, each passenger is allowed to bring one piece of baggage weighing up to 25 kg on both domestic (Mexico) and foreign flights. The maximum surface area of each piece of luggage in both situations is 158 cm/62 inches.

Aeromexico Onboard Experience

Aeromexico Check-in Options

On international flights you can check in 48 hours prior to departure and 24 hours before domestic flights. Also, you can check in up to 24 hours before takeoff if you book a national flight at a Basic fare.
